50lbs Bag - This layer feed has no soy or corn, but does have USDA certified organic canola. However, this feed is vegetarian and contains no fish or crab meal. Most concerns regarding fish revolve around the possibility of mercury levels which are commonly found in fish and or the recent Fukushima radiation concerns.

The downside about this feed is that the guaranteed protein content is 15%. The target protein content for layer feed is generally 16% protein because egg production increases with protein content and tops out when a ration is at 16% protein. Therefore with this feed, egg production may wane. (Hint: Table scraps could make up the protein difference)

50lbs Bag - Egg Layer - Most Popular product - Formulated for the most devout organic and GMO free diets. This ration was designed for those who understand that the wind blows and bees don't respect field boundaries; and cross pollination with nearby GMO field is not only likely, but probable. Instead of trying to grow organic soy corn or canola crops in green houses, to prevent GMO cross pollination, we just omitted the soy corn and canola genera completely from this ration and most of our SOY FREE rations.

This rations is ideal for layers because of the extra calcium and magnesium content for egg shells. Although this is product has extra calcium and magnesium which in some cases eliminates the need for oyster shells, some birds may still need oyster shell supplements depending if your birds are free range and your birds' eggshell frailty.

Just added in March 2023, this ration was just upgraded with additional nutrients of organic marigold and organic paprika for additional Lutein, Capsiacin, Xanthophylls and other healthy carotenoids good for your chickens and their eggs the people who eat them.

SUGGESTION: When raising broilers, this soy free product is designed to finish your birds from weeks 7-10. If for some reason you didn't use soy free feeds for the first 6 weeks for your broiler cycle, this feed is thought to transform your birds to near soy free status. In a study done by Professor M. Monica Giusti, a poultry biologist of The Ohio State University in 2009. She found that all detectable levels of soy isoflavones are no longer detected in chicken tissues after approximately 10 days of a soy free diet.
